Your First Visit to Our Pickerington Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

We know that when you come to a new doctor when you are in pain it can be a little stressful.  We try to take the stress out as much as possible.  For your first visit, allow one and a half hours.  This will give us the opportunity to get to know you and find out about your health concerns.  If your visit is between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, we may also be able to verify your insurance coverage the same day.  Your first visit will also include checking:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Blood Pressure
  • Review the history of this condition
  • Orthopedic, neurological and reflex evaluation of the involved area
  • X-rays (if needed) of the involved area
  • Home instructions of what to do that night to treat the problem at home
  • Pain relieving treatment such as ultrasound or electrical muscle stimulation if there is no contraindications

(A copy of our intake information can be found on this site.)

We ask that your co-payment/partial deductible/cash payment be made at the time of your first visit unless some other arrangements have been made prior to your first visit.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash, ITEX and checks.

Whether you intend to be treated by Dr. Tricia Richards or Dr. Mark Drake, the initial evaluation will be done by Dr. Drake.  However, both doctors are accepting new patients.

Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to Pickerington residents - Chiropractor Pickerington Dr. Mark Asks...

What are the two things drugs do?
Drugs can either speed up (laxatives, amphetamines, caffeine) a bodily process, or slow down (stomach antacids, sleep aids, antihistamines, muscle relaxers) a bodily process. Chiropractic care can produce the same results, but relies on the intelligence of the body. Chiropractors trust your body. Do you?
Is chiropractic safe?
What do you consider safe? Chiropractic care is safer than driving your car on the streets of Pickerington, getting back surgery, taking aspirin and even safer than taking a shower in your own home! Compared with things we accept as safe, chiropractic care is even safer. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
